The Community

The Community

Move without pain. Move with confidence. Move for life.

This is what we preach. Not just in our clinic but in our community and beyond too.

We want to contribute to the community as much as we can. We want to help people with their problems and then be available to them for life. We also want to do our bit to promote health living in the community. One way of doing this is to get people moving more and becoming more socially engaged.

Ways to socially engage locally:

  • Walk – the easiest method to get active. To get started, go slow and keep it short.
  • Run – if you’ve mastered walking, try a walk run walk run. Walk for 5 minutes and run for 1 minute and gradually progress.
  • Cycle – you don’t need all the lycra to get into it. Just get on your bike and enjoy the fresh air.
  • Swim – we’re blessed with lovely swimming spots on our doorstep. If that’s too much, try a local club and get in the pool.
  • Skip – grab a rope and just go for it. Great way to get the heart going.
  • Try a new sport – football, GAA, tennis, athletics, hockey, tag rugby, rugby, squash, badminton, martial arts. Social and active.

Parkrun is a great way of getting involved. It’s on every week. You can walk or run. It’s suitable for all levels of fitness. And there’s a wonderful sense of community there. Click here to learn more

5 star review on Google

Highly recommend Graham at Monkstown Movement Clinic. He managed to determine the cause of my long-term pain so was able to create a recovery programme completely unique to my lifestyle and injury. Super friendly and welcoming and a very comfortable space in the new clinic in lovely Monkstown.

Graham was a sports physio for my former rugby team some years back, and when an old injury flared up he was very quick to make himself available to help. It had been a number of years since I had attended physio and I was slightly out of the loop as to who to call...

I sought Graham’s help to address a problem with stiffness in legs following a period of hospitalisation. He gave me a program of exercises which were easy to follow using an App. He kept in touch with me and with his encouragement and support, I regained full fitness in my legs. I have no hesitation...
