Where can I find you?

We are located inside Underground Fitness gym, in Ashgrove Industrial Estate, just off Kill Avenue.

How can I get there?

We encourage you to walk, cycle where possible. If driving, there is parking on the street or up the ramp and in the designated ‘UF’ spaces.  Bus routes that serve Monkstown include the 46a, 75, 5 and 7. The nearest DART station is Salthill & Monkstown.

What do you treat?

Everything! Well, almost everything. We treat most musculoskeletal injuries. If you are unsure if physiotherapy is for you, please get in touch to find out. If we don’t feel that physiotherapy is appropriate for you, we will happily refer you on to where we think would be best suited.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. Anyone can attend physiotherapy. Just call and make an appointment.

How long does a physiotherapy session last?

We have session that last either 30 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on patient needs and preferences.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself but if you have any imaging results (MRI, X-ray), list of current medications or a referral letter please bring them along.

Will I be in pain after my session?

Hopefully not. We don’t set out to cause pain, obviously, but often patients can experience some soreness after their session. This is normal and should not last more than a day or two. Your Chartered Physiotherapist will explain this to you during the session and advise you how best to manage these symptoms.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends. An acute case of ‘crick neck’ might need just one session. Rehab for a total hip replacement on the other hand might require more than 10 sessions over several months. Whatever your issue, we will ensure we set out a treatment plan on day 1 that works for you.

Is there lift access?

Yes. There are both stairs and a lift available.

How do I book?

How can I reduce my physiotherapy costs?

You can submit your physiotherapy receipts to your insurance provider to get partial reimbursement.

If you do not have private health insurance, you can avail of tax relief for your physiotherapy appointments. Please contact Revenue for more information.

Why should I choose MMC?

We care. We will give you an honest evaluation of your condition and how best to manage it. We will endeavour to educate you with regards our clinical diagnosis and proposed treatment plan so you don’t feel overwhelmed or are being sold something. We are experienced Chartered Physiotherapists who want to get you feeling and moving better and are confident that we can achieve this.

5 star review on Google

Highly recommend Graham at Monkstown Movement Clinic. He managed to determine the cause of my long-term pain so was able to create a recovery programme completely unique to my lifestyle and injury. Super friendly and welcoming and a very comfortable space in the new clinic in lovely Monkstown.

Graham was a sports physio for my former rugby team some years back, and when an old injury flared up he was very quick to make himself available to help. It had been a number of years since I had attended physio and I was slightly out of the loop as to who to call...

I sought Graham’s help to address a problem with stiffness in legs following a period of hospitalisation. He gave me a program of exercises which were easy to follow using an App. He kept in touch with me and with his encouragement and support, I regained full fitness in my legs. I have no hesitation...
